The first touch of our newborn is one of the most precious moments of our life. The moment they are born brings thrill and amazement. During your newborn session, I aim to preserve these precious moments you share during your first weeks together as a family. I will give you a mix of lifestyle images and posed portraits that you and your family can cherish forever.
What's the difference?
LIFESTYLE
Lifestyle newborn photography is a unique experience from studio/posed newborn photography. It is more relaxed and free flowing with a focus on simplicity, connection and storytelling. In these sessions, I have the opportunity to capture images of you and your newborn interacting naturally in your own home.
POSED
For the posed photos, I'll bring all the props and I'll wrap your baby nice and cozy, so you don't have to worry about a thing! Depending on your baby's age and how deeply they sleep, I'll typically include one or two sleepy poses as part of your session.

One of the great things about a lifestyle session is that we can photograph your baby anytime in their first few weeks. But if you really want photos of your sweet new baby asleep and dreamy, then it's best to schedule your session within the first 6-15 days. If you're happy with more awake, interactive images of your new baby, a lifestyle session can take place anytime in the first several months.
And don't worry, once you're on my schedule, we can always adjust the date pending baby's arrival.

Delivery dates are unpredictable. Don't worry, when we book your session the date is not set in stone. I am always available to reschedule pending baby's arrival. I rely on you to communicate with me as much as possible if your due date changes or as soon as possible if your baby comes early.
Yes! These photos are designed to capture you and your family in real life, as you are now, in this moment. I will guide you with a few simple things you can do to prepare your home, but the session is all about the connection between you and your baby, your home is just the backdrop.
Lifestyle newborn sessions can take place anytime in the first several months. With brand new babies we're able to focus more on posed portraits, while with older and more alert babies, we will focus more on family interaction. You're never too old for an in-home session!
